Sharon Day is Director, Branch Services and Collections, at Edmonton Public Library. She works in collaboration with leadership in public services to provide direction and support for the provision of services to branches. She also provides direction for the selection, delivery, and circulation of all EPL’s physical and digital collections. Prior to her current position, Sharon held the position of Manager, Collection Management and Access, where she was responsible for planning and leading the provision and delivery of system-wide, centralized collections.
Sharon holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Alberta, and started her career as Automation Services Librarian at Yellowhead Regional Library. Later positions included Associate Director, then Acting Director of John M. Culaenaere Public Library in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Sharon chairs CULC’s eBook Task Force, and is heavily involved in the Alberta Library Conference Planning committee.
